The Gargano coast is rich in very striking sea caves. You can take a boat trip along the coast. You can also visit  the Tremiti Islands which are about twenty kilometres from the Gargano coast.

The Benedectine abbey of Mount Sacro or the necropolis of Mount Saraceno allow to rediscover the fascination of millenary places.
You can also visit  the wonderful Umbra Forest or take a trip to the most characteristic Gargano towns such as Peschici, Vieste, Monte Sant’Angelo, where there is the Sanctuary of Saint Micheal built over the grotto where the saint is supposed to have appeared and San Giovanni Rotondo, the town where Padre Pio da Pietrelcina lived and died.

You can also visit the Alberobello Trulli, the Grottoes of Castellana and the Safari Zoo of Fasano which are about fifteen hundred kilometres from Mattinata.
